International Expertise of INVAP Personnel

INVAP employs internationally renowned professionals in different areas; some of them are enrolled as expert teachers in advanced interregional courses on calculation methods and their applications to solve research reactor problems, currently being offered by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

In this context, some of its members have been hired as expert advisors for international missions intended to evaluate Integrated Nuclear Safety of Research Reactors as well as shielding, thermo hydraulic and neutron matters. Besides, a group of eight physics and engineering from INVAP permanent staff qualified to perform, document and verify, as independent advisors, nuclear design calculations associated to partial verification of safety analysis and nuclear design reports of nuclear reactors in the USA.

In the Aerospace, Government and Defense Areas, INVAP hires top-level engineers and technicians, who have been continuously acquiring experience and new skills in space technology, particularly since Argentine space agency (CONAE) and NASA signed a Framework Agreement on Civil Space Cooperation in 1991.

In other areas, our experts in freeze-drying food have been invited on several occasions to give lectures and conferences at different national academic and scientific forums.

INVAP built five complete research reactors and also participated in the construction of two more in Peru
