First argentine nano-satellite with open platform successfully launched

This Nanosatellite is a Argentine development funded by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation and carried on by Satellogic Inc. in collaboration with INVAP, under the spatial strategic development through public-private cooperation. The launch took place at 1:15 pm. on Friday 26 from the Jiuquan Space Center in China through a rocket LONGMARCH 2.

Héctor Otheguy visited Arauco Wind Farm

CEO of INVAP, Mr. Héctor Otheguy, said he is very proud of the National Government initiative to promote domestic wind industry in Arauco Wind Farm (La Rioja Province). Otheguy, who led the visit of company executives to park facilities, highlighted the proposed initiative with state capitals: "As a final conclusion I must say that I am very proud as an Argentine to be in a place where there are both the Provincial and National Government initiatives carry out this park, showing that wind power and alternative energy can work in conjunction through the Ministry of Federal Planning, foster this type of energy".

Also, he noted that "for us as a company of Argentina which has been in business for four decades, this has an special significance," adding that "INVAP is a state own society of the province of Rio Negro. Naturally, we come to see the experience and learn the successful experience that is the Province of La Rioja through the government initiative to install this park".

Arsat-1 payload mating successfully completed at INVAP headquarters

Last Thursday 02-21-13, partial assembly of telecommunications satellite Arsat-1 was successfully completed at INVAP headquarters in Bariloche. This satellite is the first of three of the kind that ARSAT and INVAP are manufacturing in Argentina under the "System Argentine Geostationary Satellite Telecommunications".

Governor Weretilneck and Senator Pichetto accompanied a US delegation visit to INVAP

The Governor of the Province of Río Negro, Alberto Weretilneck, and the National Senator Miguel Pichetto, arrived today in Bariloche to accompany a delegation of four US Congressmen and the US Ambassador in Argentina, Vilma Martínez, in a visit to INVAP SE, intended to promote technical and scientific cooperation between both countries.
