By invitation of the Australian Parlament, a delegation of the Argentine National Congress recently visited the very advanced construction site of the OPAL reactor INVAP is building for the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organization (ANSTO) at Lucas Heights, NSW, Australia. The delegation was composed of Senator Silvia Escudero (chairperson); Rep. Jorge Arg\u00fcello (chairman of the Chamber Commission for Foreign Affairs), Sen. Luis Falc\u00f3 and Rep. Fernando Chironi, the last two from INVAP\u00b4s home province, R\u00edo Negro.<\/p>\n

| \n The parliamentary delegates received a very good impression of both the high advancement and the immense complexity of nthe facility under construction. At present, preoperational tests are already under way. This is one of the most intensive and interesting moments of the construction, and the one which involves the highest number of Argentine professionals \u2013as many as 40 at work on the site.
