{"id":6054,"date":"2011-11-22T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2011-11-22T03:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dwinvap.com.ar\/2011\/11\/22\/inauguration-of-the-first-argentine-primary-radar\/"},"modified":"2021-03-16T10:30:23","modified_gmt":"2021-03-16T13:30:23","slug":"inauguration-of-the-first-argentine-primary-radar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.invap.com.ar\/en\/inauguration-of-the-first-argentine-primary-radar\/","title":{"rendered":"Inauguration of the First Argentine Primary Radar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday, Monday November 21st, Argentine President Cristina Fern\u00e1ndez de Kirchner, together with the Minister of Defense, Dr. Arturo Puricelli and the Governor of the Province of Formosa, Gildo Insfr\u00e1n, inaugurated the first Long range 3D Argentine Primary Radar (RPA) completely designed and built in Argentina and located in the city of Las Lomitas, Province of Formosa.<\/p>\n<p>The President said that \u201cINVAP, a state-owned company that we are all proud of, is nowadays able to build this kind of radars. We\u2019ve already build 22 secondary radars (11 already delivered and 11 in process) and this is the first primary radar.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On his turn, Mr. Puricelli said that \u201cfor the first time in more than 40 years, Argentina has top level radar developed by local engineers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On June 7th,\u00a0in a ceremony headed by President Cristina Fern\u00e1ndez de Kirchner, Argentinean Military Fabrications Agency (FM) &#8211;\u00a0depending from the Ministry of Federal Planning, Public Investments and Services (MINPLAN) &#8211; and INVAP signed an Agreement for the construction of the first series of six 3D Long Range Primary Radars (RP3DLA-S)\u00a0for the Argentine Air Force (FAA).<\/p>\n<p>Besides, the Argentine Monopulse Secondary Radars Project (RSMA) is based on the technical and operative requirements of the Ministry of Defense, as\u00a0Enforcement Authority of the National System of Airspace Surveillance and Control (SINVICA) established by Decree 1.407\/2004 signed by former President N\u00e9stor Kirchner.<\/p>\n<p>The RSMA has been designed and built by INVAP at request of the Argentine Air Force (FAA) and the National Administration of Civil Aviation (ANAC), in order to offer enhanced safety and efficiency in Air Traffic control.
