INVAP launches the fourth edition of the National Contest for the Best Engineering Theses of the country. The Argentine technology company invites participants to apply to the contest that recognizes outstanding applied research projects in the engineering universe. As part of its 50th anniversary, INVAP reinforces its commitment by recognizing the Argentine talent that promotes innovative research and projects.
\nThe theses must address real-world applications in strategic areas for the country\u2019s development and, through the practice of engineering, seek to build a better future.<\/p>\n

The initiative, supported by INVAP Foundation, is open to young talent from universities across Argentina, both public and private. In the last edition, 162 theses from 16 provinces were submitted, with the participation of 47 institutions representing 35 different university programs: electronic engineering and computer engineering received the highest number of submissions and reflected INVAP\u2019s founding mission: to improve people’s quality of life. Of the 200 thesis candidates who passed the jury evaluation to advance in the contest, 26% were women.<\/p>\n

The finalists in the different categories (Undergraduate, Master\u2019s, and Doctoral) will be announced in September. The awards ceremony will be held in October, at the company’s headquarters in San Carlos de Bariloche.<\/p>\n

The call for applications will remain open until May 29, 2026. Students and graduates from Argentine public and private universities may participate, with no age limit, provided that their theses were approved between January 1, 2025 and the Contest\u2019s closing date. Eligible disciplines include nuclear, mechanical, electrical, electronic, telecommunications, electromechanical, materials, chemical, aerospace, mechatronics, computer, aeronautical, industrial, biomedical, and environmental engineering.<\/p>\n

INVAP\u2019s General Manager, Engineer Dar\u00edo Giussi, states that this initiative positions itself as a \u201cbeacon for engineers to develop their ideas in line with the company\u2019s vision: the value of technology in practical applications that positively make an impact on people\u2019s lives. We seek proposals with productive impact, which can be implemented in practical projects that benefit people\u2019s lives.\u201d He also adds that the contest is \u201cvery important as it highlights the quality of our academy. We hope it becomes a representative example of what we can achieve through collaboration,\u201d he notes, as part of INVAP\u2019s 50th anniversary, during which the company has completed over a thousand projects<\/a> both nationally and internationally.\u201d<\/p>\n

The prizes for the national contest of ideas that drive progress in the country are awarded by category. The winning doctoral thesis will receive an award equivalent to 5 monthly CONICET internal doctoral scholarships (for San Carlos de Bariloche); master\u2019s-level theses will receive 3 units, and undergraduate-level theses, 2 units.<\/p>\n
