Expanding our borders to Latin America.
This turn-key project is a paramount case of technology transfer to our neighboring country, placing Argentina as a world leader in the peaceful use of nuclear energy.
A unique feature of the project is that it will receive support from all the Academic Centers of the National Atomic Energy Commission of Argentina (CNEA) and its associated entities for the training of Bolivian professionals responsible for all the areas of the Center.
This is a turn-key project that combines the design and construction of a Nuclear Medicine Center on a 2,200 square meter property.
Upon completion, it will have two linear accelerators, a complete brachytherapy room, a tomograph, a dosimetry laboratory, PET and SPECT equipment for nuclear medicine studies, and a radiopharmacy area for the production of radiopharmaceuticals.
More than 90 Bolivian professionals will be trained through the Academic Centers of the National Atomic Energy Commission (CNEA).
The agreement between INVAP and the Bolivian Nuclear Energy Agency (ABEN) provides for construction of two more centers, one in La Paz and the other in Santa Cruz de las Sierras.
