In an important step for the aerospace and radar industry in South America, INVAP SAU, the Chilean National Aeronautics Company (ENAER, in Spanish) and Desarrollo de Tecnologías y Sistemas SpA (DTS, in Spanish) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish a cooperation framework for the development of joint activities in these strategic areas.

The agreement, which entered into force on March 20, 2025, aims to promote the transfer of know-how and technology in the manufacture, support, maintenance and consultancy of space and radar systems, among others. It will also allow the execution of projects related to the integration, assembly and testing of satellite and radar technology, as well as its manufacture and commercialization, both in Chile and in international markets.

The MOU was signed by Ignacio Grossi, Deputy General Manager of INVAP; Henry Cleveland, Executive Director of ENAER; and Roberto Avendaño, General Manager of DTS, as a first step to consolidate a strategic alliance between Argentina and Chile in the development of advanced technologies.

One of the key aspects of the agreement is the implementation of a work plan, which will serve as the basis for a future Cooperation Agreement, defining the terms and conditions for the implementation of joint initiatives. In addition, the MOU provides for technical meetings, exchange of information, and joint technical and economic feasibility studies, and guarantees that each party will bear the costs arising from its respective activities.

This agreement represents a milestone in the technological collaboration between Argentina and Chile, strengthening the ability of both countries to develop and position their aerospace and radar industries at a global level.
