16-02-2010 – BIDDING FOR DUTCH NUCLEAR REACTOR “PALLAS” DELAYED – INVAP CHOSEN AS BEST PROPOSAL : The Dutch organization Nuclear Research & Consultancy Group (NRG) has decided to “extend the preparatory phase” of the construction of the nuclear reactor PALLAS and suspend the tender until the feasibility of different financing schemes has been examined.

The Dutch organization Nuclear Research & Consultancy Group (NRG) has decided to “extend the preparatory phase” of the construction of the nuclear reactor PALLAS and suspend the tender until the feasibility of different financing schemes has been examined.

Before taking this decision, NRG had selected the offer presented by INVAP in collaboration with its Spanish associate ISOLUX as the best technical offer and that of best price.

Initially the call for tenders for the building of the new reactor was issued in December, 2007, according to the European procedure of a “competitive dialogue”. The effective offers were received in May, 2009 and after an exhaustive evaluation it was found that the offer by INVAP and its Spanish associate ISOLUX CORSÁN was the most convenient, ahead of the offer by the French company AREVA and that of the South Korean group KOPEC.
