Radioisotope production facilities

We design, build, and commission radioisotope production plants for:

01

Fabrication of targets for radioisotope production.

02

Production of Iodine-125, Iodine-131 by fission, Molybdenum-99 by fission, Iridium-192 (medical and industrial sources) and Chromium-51.

03

Fractionation of radioisotopes for commercial use.

04

Assembling and loading of Technetium-99 generators.

05

Quality control labs, equipment, and techniques.

INVAP uses its own molybdenum-99 production method based on low enriched uranium.

We supply low enriched uranium targets for Mo-99 production and all the associated processes that were fully developed and validated in Argentina. The radioisotopes produced with this technology meet the international requirements for use in healthcare programs.
