23-10-2002 – INVAP at America’s nuclear symposium : A delegation of experts from INVAP took part in the America’s Nuclear Energy Symposium held in Miami, USA, from 16-18 October 2002. The delegation members were J. Lolich, P. Abbate, M. Salvatore and C. Barrientos.


INVAP AT AMERICAS’ NUCLEAR ENERGY SYMPOSIUM

A delegation of experts from INVAP took part in the America’s Nuclear Energy Symposium held in Miami, USA, from 16-18 October 2002. The delegation members were J. Lolich, P. Abbate, M. Salvatore and C. Barrientos.

The symposium – sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the American Nuclear Society – dealt with topics related to the peaceful use of nuclear energy, the state of the nuclear programs within the Americas and new designs of nuclear reactors for electricity generation, research and radioisotope production.

Special consideration was given to the debate on the benefits of nuclear technology on the environment, particularly with reference to the reduction in greenhouse gas emission.

INVAP make a presentation of its latest achievements and technology developments in the field of radioisotope production reactors, as well as explored commercial opportunities with different companies.
