In the context of the Value, RSE + Competitiveness Program encouraged by the Argentine Israelite Mutual Association (AMIA, in Spanish), the Inter-American Development Bank (BID, in Spanish) and the Multilateral Investment Fund (FOMIN, in Spanish), whose main objective is to improve the relation between companies and organizations with their value chain, INVAP S.E. (Argentine state-owned applied research company) held the first meeting with several of its key suppliers that are part of this program.

The meeting —carried out on March 28 2012, at the company’s offices located in San Carlos de Bariloche— focused on sharing the progress and outcomes of the Corporate Social Responsibility (RSE, in Spanish) practices implemented by the providers and discussing some relevant issues for the sector, the industry and the region.

The presence of Mariel Sabra, representative of the FOMIN; María Celina Kaseta, Technical Coordinator of the Program; authorities of INVAP’s Supply Management and representatives of its Projects, International Relations and RSE Managements and of the national small and medium enterprises (PYMES, in Spanish) of the value chain, which are part of the program, successfully brought together the following companies: Cenitec SRL, Aliar-C; Informática Global SA, Netsense Conectividad (Argenware SRL), SIS; Hiza Ingenieria & Construcción SRL, Privatel SRL, Centro del Copiado and Energía SRL.

During the meeting, there was a presentation on the institutional role of the FOMIN and an evaluation of the progress of the Value Program. It was also shared a detailed presentation on the INVAP’s Supply Management purchasing policy: its classification of suppliers and internal procedures. Likewise, at the end of the meeting, the participants exchanged ideas about issues related to the current scenario at national level.
