The Edition 2016 of the world market survey Satellites to be built and launched by 2025 was published. The survey is carried out by the international consulting firm Euroconsult, leader in the space market. On the global map of satellite manufacturers, Argentina is among the world competitors. In its 19th edition, this report provides a thorough analysis of the growing satellite demand worldwide, combining clients, applications and orbits.

INVAP S.E. (an Argentine state-owned applied research company) is in close relation with the Argentine National Space Activities Commission (CONAE, in Spanish) and is its main contractor during missions. Likewise, AR-SAT S.A (Argentine company for satellite solutions) also hired INVAP’s services to design and build the first Argentine geostationary satellites for telecommunications.

Being on the world map of the satellite industry, turns Argentina into one of the very few experienced countries in the world capable of developing satellites, which increases its industrial and technological capacity. This was possible thanks to the technological policy of the national government that in view of the need of the national industry has been making investments, so that, now, the nuclear sector can export, for instance, research reactors.

The six satellites designed, built and put into orbit by INVAP won the company recognition in the international scenario of the satellite technology. Today, its the only Latin American company able to carry out complete satellite projects, from developing the mission concept to putting the satellite into orbit and its operation with the exception of the launching.
