INVAP (Applied Research Company) participated at the exposition: “Science and technology: Ways of Expression” that took place on March 28 and 29 at the Multi-purpose Cultural Room (SCUM, in Spanish) of the Municipality of San Carlos de Bariloche.
The event, organized by the Under Secretary’s Office of Science and Technology of the Province of Río Negro and the National University of Río Negro, was attended by the National Institute of Agricultural Technology, the National Scientific and Technical Research Council, Osiris Astronomical Group, Paleontologists’ Association of Bariloche, the Argentine National Commission of Atomic Energy, Free Software, Balseiro Institute, Poles Program’s Andean Newsreel, the Comahue National University and the National Parks Administration, apart from INVAP.
The Engineer, Hugo Brendstrup, Manager of the Industrial Technology and Alternative Energies Area of INVAP, participated in a panel entitled “Energies: alternatives and sovereignty”, moderated by Lic. Daniel Quattrini, Under Secretary of Science and Technology of the Province of Río Negro. Besides, Lic. Roberto Kozulj, Dr. Tomás Buch of the University of Río Negro and Dr. Belén Prados of the Argentine National Commission of Atomic Energy also took part in the event.
The discussion focused on Energetic Alternatives in Argentina nowadays and the diversification of the energetic matrix, socio-environmental challenges, rational use of the energy and proposals in the context of the Province of Río Negro.
The meeting brought a large attendance, which showed great interest in the topic and could experience different spaces and ways of communication of science, such as books, audiovisual projections, games, art and debates.
