On August 20, 21 and 22 the interdisciplinary regional conference on Latin American critical thinking “America in dialog” was held at the School of Philosophy and Humanities of the National University of Córdoba.
Dr. Vicente Campenni, the Deputy General Manager of INVAP S.E. (Argentine state-owned applied research company) delivered a lecture in the discussion panel entitled “Science and technological development in the context of the Latin American integration” together with Dr. Pablo Jacovkis, the Extension Secretary at the University of Tres de Febrero and Prof. Ricardo Rabinovich, Head of the Social Sciences Department of the University of Buenos Aires.
The aim of the meeting was to reflect, through the dialog, on the role of knowledge in South America and its capacity to develop concepts and categories capable of showing the opportunities to freely integrate with the peoples and organizations of our countries. In particular, the purpose was to encourage reflections on the role played by universities in increasing inter and transdisciplinary practical and theoretical knowledge for the American emancipation and integration in compliance with the Argentine University Reform of 1918.
The conference included lectures and debates among different intellectuals and scientists, with panels in which specialists expounded on a particular problem allowing the debate and interaction with the audience.
