Engineer Juan Pablo Ordoñez, Nuclear Projects Assistant Manager, and Dr. Leonardo Sobehart, member of the Nuclear Projects Area of INVAP S.E. (Argentine state-owned applied research company), participated in the third Nuclear Industry Summit, held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, on March 25, 2014.
The Nuclear Security Summit dealt not only with traditional security (physical security) issues but also added new related fields to the agenda, such as information technology and cybernetic security. The participants committed themselves to tackle thirteen aspects connected with this matter, such as agreeing on and sharing the best practices as regards security, increasing public and private trust by adopting higher standards of transparency, and fostering a solid security culture, among others.
More than 200 international nuclear companies continuously working to strengthen and ensure nuclear security took part in the event.
