INVAP’s corporate website has been nominated with three other sites for the mate.ar Silver Prize 2011, in the “Science and Technology” Category.  It will also therefore compete for the mate.ar 2011 Gold Prize to the best website, which will be selected between each category’s winners. The awards ceremony will be held on May 17, at 6.30 pm, at the University of Salvador Auditorium (USAL), Tucumán 1845, Buenos Aires, coinciding with International Internet Day.

Since its beginnings in 1999, mate.ar has grown to become – for its history and organization – the maximum national acknowledgement in this field.  More than 3000 sites participated in the last contest.  The prize’s continuous growth reflects the evolution of the use of Internet in our country.  The prize is organized by the most important IT consumer and corporate associations: CABASE, CACE, CESSI, CICOMRA, Fundación AEI, SADIO and USUARIA, and its purpose is to promote a new information society culture and to encourage an advanced use of digital applications.

The categories of the 2011 mate.ar Prize are: Agriculture; Science and Technology; E-commerce; Education; Sports and Leisure; Government and Public Administration; Communication Media; Music; Children; Personal Pages; Web portals and social networks; Production and Commerce; Life Quality, Environment and CSR; Services; Tourism, and Weblogs.
