Yesterday, members of the US National Aeronautics and Space Agency NASA and Argentina’s National Commission on Space Activities CONAE, watched Aquarius reflector’s successful deployment from the Teófilo Tabanera Space Center in Córdoba, Argentina.

After its successful launch on June, 10th from Vandenberg (California) Air Force Base, the argentine satellite SAC-D/Aquarius has completed on orbit checkout. During these checkout phase, the service platform and all vital systems and devices were found healthy and properly working.    All instruments and observation cameras were then turned on as expected.
