On August 6, a series of lectures to popularize science and technology were carried out at the headquarters of INVAP (applied research company) designed to principals, teachers and students of outstanding performance from San Carlos de Bariloche. The event has been declared to be “of educational interest” by the Ministry of Education of the Province of Río Negro.

The main theme of the lectures was “Current state of high-technology industry in Argentina: the importance of knowledge in electricity, electronics, metallurgy and mechanics to develop complex projects”. The aim of the meeting was to inform the attendants about the state of the art in the development of complex projects in Argentina, specifically in relation to new technologies used for aerospace applications and those involving high performance or great difficulty.

Engineers Martín Absi, Rogelio Martínez and Jorge Rivero talked on subjects such as mechanical and electrical-electronic technology used in aerospace and high performance applications, and also on INVAP’s quality management procedures (ISO 9001:2008). The Assistant General Manager of INVAP, Dr. Vicente Campenni, its Personnel Director, Engineer Gabriel Absi, as well as Piuqué Montenegro, Eric Fusswinkel and Alfredo Venturino also participated in the meeting.

After the lectures, the attendants visited the company’s facilities and received technical information on the subjects covered in them.
