On November 30-December 1, 2011, a Seminar on Digital TV and “Argentina conectada 2011” was held at the Centro Argentino de Ingenieros.   Engineers discussed the implementation, advances and prospects of Digital Terrestrial TV in our country.

Experts pointed out the great advances in the area, promoted by the Ministry of Planning, Public Investment and Services and the Implementation Authority (AFSCA), which turned the Argentine platform into a model to be followed by other countries in the region.

The meeting was honored by the presence of Mr. Carlos Amaya, Adviser to the CEO at INVAP, in a panel that also featured Mr. Germán Calvi (INCAA), Mr. José Duarte (AR-SAT), Prof. Marcos Americo (UNESP-Brasil), Mrs. Claudia Ducatenzeiler (RENAU) and Mr. Miguel Ermann (Narada Power Source-China).

Experts pointed out the progress of the governmental plan to implement a federal network of optic fiber and complementary provincial networks. A particularly emphasized point was the invitation to the private sector to participate from this national network, not only in its implementation but also in its design and calculation, according to each region requirements.
